Transforming takes time. I was sitting in my bath tonight thinking about patience vs progress. Let me give you a picture to think about. Think of an old farm house, you know the kind with a well, rusty water, calcium build up, etc. now, imagine filling up a bath tub with the “bad” water. Let it sit in the tub for years and years, then decide to change it. What would happen? You’d pull the plug and the water would drain FAST, easily and without a lot of thought, but after the water is gone, the tub will need lots of work and patience to be restored. Now think of our bodies, we spend years and years feeding them poorly, not working through our skeletons and not being active. We sit with stagnant water just waiting for someone to pull the plug. Then the day comes and we decide to change, we get rid of the crap and lose the weight, but that is the EASY part! Now we are left with the damage we’ve done, the stain that life left behind. DONT panic! This is the part that counts, this is the rewarding part, this is the TRANSFORMATION. So, you practice patience and take pictures, so when your eyes are so used to seeing the same thing, a picture can show little changes. Proof that your scrubbing/transforming is working. So I encourage you, be patient with you! You have lots of years to restore, but just think how proud you’ll be when you get through the layers! #transformationtuesday #transformation #beforeandafterweightloss #beforeandaftertransformation #shero #momswholift #strongmama #strongnotskinny #massiveweightloss #wlstransformation #wlstories #wlscommunity #keto #ketosis

Studies have shown that we look at our future selves as strangers. Isn’t that odd? We look at our future selves as someone better than us in every way. Our future selves have more time. Our future selves have more self control. Our future selves are more organized, more patient, more financially responsible and more adventurous. Our future selves are seeing the world, enjoying time with our kids (instead of making it through the day,) in a healthy relationship and, of course, a great body. . Dr. Kelly McGonigal, a professor at Stanford University, has an audio book/course called “The Science of Willpower.” It’s one of my favorites. She talks about the above study and how humans, universally, don’t see the their future selves as themselves. This disconnect keeps us from making realistic expectations. . Today we struggle with money. In 10 years we will still struggle with money. It’s a lifelong struggle for everyone. Today we will struggle with our weight. In 10 years we will struggle with our weight. It’s another part of life that will never fo away. Relationships will always take work; your future self isn’t in a happy marriage. Your future self is doing their best every day to communicate with their partner. . Here’s why this matters so much: We pile so much responsibility on our future selves because we expect them to magically have it all together. Tomorrow we will work out. Tomorrow we will have the energy to clean the closet. Tomorrow we won’t spend extra money. Dr. McGonigal teaches us to try and see ourselves otherwise. Our future self is as bad with money as we are. Our future self is as tired as we are. Our future self struggles to work out as much as we do. By acknowledging this, the science shows that we naturally start to treat ourselves better TODAY. Isn’t that amazing? . By knowing who we are today is who we will be in 10 years, it forces us to examine the choices we are making right now. So, the question isn’t “who do you want to be,” it’s “who are you choosing to be today?” Science tells us it’s all about today, my friends. Your future self is you.

Hit my dietbet goal! (Shoutout to everyone else that hit theirs!!! ❤️) Aside from losing a bit of weight that I had gained, it also helped shift my mindset away from weekends being a free for all. My weekend eating was causing me to gain weight AND go into each week just feeling like absolute 💩. Feeling soooo much better being back on track. 🎉 One month until my consult for surgery, the nerves I had surrounding the whole process are really just turning into excitement now!

3 WEEK VLOG•••I ve finally got round to editing the last three weeks on #thekefirplan so far...(another 3 weeks to go 🙌🏾) This has been a huge step for me in coming out of my comfort zones by posting this video but I need to show people that it is real and I am real...but also if I can do it then absolutely anyone can. It wasn t easy to have lost the weight the first time and then slip back into bad habits. I had to dig really deep but just like anything in life it s about your attitude towards change and development. What a weight loss! Tag someone who needs motivation! 👊 Credit: 📷 @isfrannyfityet Like every Wednesday I m my own #WCW ✨no shame ✨ But, even more so now that I actually like my body, who knew underneath all that belly there was a waist line. Let me tell you how amazing this new found self love is, not in the physical sense although I m not mad at it 😌 but a self love that has allowed me to become a better, stronger and healthier version of myself 🐖 to 😇 Is it hard? Absolutely. Has it taken a lot of time? Depends what you consider a lot of time. Gotta love a good candid picture to remind myself how far I have come in a relatively short amount of TIME.. I know what you re thinking No Franny, 21 months (the length my weightloss journey so far) isn t a short amount of TIME.. you re crazy, that s basically 2 years.. ya you re right I was thinking the exact same thing until I put it into perspective with the number of MONTHS I have wasted living an extremely unhealthy life style. Let s just say since the age of 16 I knew that I was not making healthy choices, I knew I should exercise and eat right I knew that my weight was a problem. So for the last 144 months (12 years) I did nothing but continue this endless cycle of unhealthy eating habits and digging my own grave. Ok, so 21 months of hard work to essentially reverse the last 144 months of self sabotage? Unmmm yes, sign me up!!! So, do your own math then ask yourself the same question.. The point is TIME is going to pass wether you decide to start or not, it s an easy question and an easy answer you just have to for once, follow through with what you start. How many times have you started? Could you imagine if you never quit? While I m extremely proud and grateful for the last 2 years of my life I do dwell on the TIME I wasted. Start now, start today, before it s too late.
