4 months ago #sewphotohop I've started cycling to work and my new helmet compliments my dress (but clashes like crazy with my lime green bike!). Perhaps it is time to step up and make some active wear?! Can it be as fun as dresses?!
4 months ago We have a wedding coming up in November and I'm planning on using the @sewoveritlondon#roisedress bodice to make a dress for the special occasion. The fabric is an amazing African voile lace that looks as though it is covered in flying fish! AND diamonds 💎 #specialoccassion#sewphotohop
5 months ago #sewphotohop I made this 70s inspired number so I could wear it both as a dress or as separates. So can I vote both?! 👉🏻swipe for a separate shot 🤗
5 months ago Still playing #sewphotohop catch up. I love wearing my handmade wardrobe on holiday!
5 months ago I'm procrastinating from my hobby with new hobbies 😱The last month has seen the least sewing since I started five years ago! I'm sure this is temporary, but I have enjoyed planting spring bulbs and potting plants to brighten up our new little garden. As we settle I know I'll claim back more time for my one true hobby, but for now I am enjoying a hobby dabble. #sewingismyonetruelove#sewphotohop#procrastination
5 months ago Thank you for all your amazing comments on my Vigilante dress Loves 😊 I might just put her back on and get twirling with pride in the forest. You guys 😘😍👏🏻 THANK YOU
5 months ago My new kitchen floor is the perfect spot for cutting out. I can lay out a full length of fabric without having to cut on the fold (really important when you are trying to nail the perfect pattern placement). It took me two evenings (so much indecision - sometimes I just need to sleep on it!) but I'm happy 😊Let's see how she sews up. First make in my new house! @colettepatterns#ruedress#patternplacement 🍁🍁🍁🍁
5 months ago #sewphotohop My favourite close up has to be on the dress I made for the #dressmakersball - During a very busy life period I decided hand embroider and bead the bodice, sleeves and skirt hems, and the belt to the cape. Swipe for more piccies. It ended up being the most hours I've spent on a dress (all while changing jobs and moving house!) Definitely worth it as it has to be up there in my top 3 dresses @houseofpinheiro@upcraftclub#vlisco#africanwaxprint
5 months ago #sewphotohop I'm not really a lounge or activewear kinda girl... I'd happily do my food shopping in a ball gown 😂 However, I have made 5 pairs of memade Pjs, fur lined African wax print Hareem pants for my fella, a couple of loungy #watsonbras and snugly jumpers to wear over the millions of dresses! @girlcharlee#alwaysoverdressed
5 months ago #sewphotohop day 12: Proudest of - old news but it is still true! I am very proud of all the sewing I did for my best friend's wedding. I made 4 bridesmaid dresses, 5 clutch bags, confetti bags and the bride's veil. It made my heart sing to be able to add special touches to her big day. Dresses were all based on @byhandlondon#annadress or #floradress bodices with midi length half circle skirts with contrast pink lining and hem tape. I lined the bodices in a cotton lawn to match the clutch bags and hand embroidered each of the bridesmaids names inside.
