When I first joined a gym I only trained arms. I’m not kidding, bicep curls were the only thing I knew how to do. I was very upper body focused, slowly learning more and more exercises for my upper body but honestly I didn’t give my legs the time of the day.
I also had a tumour in my knee which I had surgically removed in grade 10, so 3 years ago. Before I had it removed, I never trained legs because I couldn’t lunge, squat or fully extend and lock my leg as the bone tumour would “click” and pinch.
I didn’t get serious about training my legs until this past year. They had always been my weak point and I strongly disliked training them because I would get discouraged and feel bad about myself seeing how small they were compared to my upper body.
When I started my bikini prep ten weeks ago, my coach told me I needed to keep quad training to a minimum because my legs were getting too big. I didn’t think I would ever have someone say that 😂
Basically what I’m trying to say is, no matter the obstacle or circumstance, if you put your heart into something and work hard enough you will get to where you want to be. My legs are one of my strongest most developed muscles now, and I’m really proud of myself for that. They used to be my weakest. Shoutout to the little legs that could 🙏🏼💕 ps that’s baby Tess in grade 9 (5 years ago). I wore headbands every single day lol

Just high on life right now. Thinking about the future, how much I want to accomplish, thinking about my life a year from now & where I know I can and will be. I’m just happy. Happy to be able to do the things I love everyday. Grateful for the wonderful relationships I have in my life & just truly blessed to be in good health and have a steady head on my shoulders. Sometimes we seem to get discouraged when things aren’t going our way, but instead of finding reasons to complain or quit, find just one reason as to why you shouldn’t. JUST ONE. Use that one reason to push you forward & give you strength to keep trying & keep fighting for what you want. Nothing in life is handed to us, no opportunity will just fall on your doorstep. You must make opportunities happen. By searching for them, working for them & never giving up on them. Hope you all had an amazing Monday & are ready to grind out another week ahead. 🙏🏽💕

Besides the fact I’m a total goof. I got my hair redone the other day and I’m feeling brand new and refreshed. Crazy what your hair can do for your confidence 💜
