Motherhood is not always about cleaning underneath your child’s fingernails and organizing their changing table/closets. Motherhood is not kissing every, single, little ouchy and watching their every move.
Motherhood is not cooking 7 meals a day according to your child’s pickiness. Motherhood is definitely not always having a tidy home.
Motherhood is, painful (I mean hey, you do remember how they got here, right?) Tiring some. Sacrifice.
Motherhood going to work because you HAVE to, not because you want to. Motherhood is creating a life for you child, outside of you already creating them. Motherhood is discipline, for them...and you. Motherhood is.....not toooo much discipline. Motherhood is, when do I get a break? Oh never?
Motherhood is having drawings on your wall and actually not thinking twice about it when you posts pictures of your kids feeding themselves an early “just” noodle dinner.
Be the best mother you can be, and never shame yourself for it.
Never answer to people who ask questions like “what are you here for?” and don’t like your answer being “my kids”
Happy Saturday! 🙏🏼

Even when we try have a relaxing Sunday morning, it just feels so hectic.
Justin goes to work at 5am and is home around 7:30. By 7:30am I had done 2 loads of washing, cleaned the kitchen, made breakfast, cleaned up after breakfast (a bigger job then it sounds as they are feeding themselves), everyone dressed & also packed morning tea.
Then to the Park via the coffee shop ☕️Will, Henry and George met us at the Park and we just let them run wild 🐾
I find it so hard to find a perfect park, the one we visited this morning was great but had a stream just behind it so have to be on full alert.... fine for older kids but just an added stress when you have toddlers.
Swipe for more Park pics 💗
Look at Nixon's smile! Seriously!

It’s multiple birth awareness week this week and I feel like now that my twins are closer to 3 then are are to 2, I wanted to share some things I want others to know about being a mum of twins.
1. Sometimes having twins is random. Well maybe not quite but I had no significant family history and no reason to even think I might have twins. We had only just started trying and bam, pregnant with twins! You never know if you are going to have twins 😂😂 2. Comments like “Double trouble”, “Better you then me”, “I prayed every pregnancy I wouldn’t have twins” and “I’d kill myself if I had twins” (yes someone actually said this to me!!) are not necessary and the last two are quite annoying. Ok, the first two are probably just well meaning most of the time, but the second two, seriously, why?? Didn’t your mother teach you if you can’t say anything nice don’t say anything at all.
3. I know you are probably just fascinated and interested to know about having twins, but if you are a complete stranger I’ve just met in the lift, wether I had IVF, if I had a c-section and if they were breastfed, is really none of your business. Would you ask the mother of one baby the same questions?? 4. Don’t feel sorry for me. The first year I felt like almost everyone with singletons just felt sorry for me. Yes especially in the early days it’s hard, but I know people with singletons who seem like they had it worse. Don’t ask how I do it, because I just do. Whatever your circumstances you just get by.
5. Understand some things I just can’t do. Like going to the beach by myself, to a party, to a big park or even some playgroups. It’s not that I don’t want to, it’s just that it’s hard to control two little toddlers and sometimes it’s just too much.
6. And lastly, if you only take one thing away from this post, let it be this. If I had a dollar for the amount of times I’ve been asked, I’d be rich, but here we go …
BOY AND GIRL TWINS ARE NOT, I REPEAT, ARE NOT IDENTICAL!
And that’s all!
I love my twins and I love being a mum of twins. It has it’s hard times, but there are so many good times too.

Now I don’t know if it’s his age or my pregnancy, 🤷♀️ but boy has he been testing me lately and the attitude that he has! “Don’t pick me up”, Don’t hold my hand!”where has my baby gone?? 😭😭😭
I have loved how his language had really progressed making up stories based on his experiences💙 you certainly have developed an opinion on everything!! Today I had to use Siri to win a debate with my toddler about what day of the week it was😅
Maybe we are both competitive but I do know that I won 💁♀️because when Siri gave him the answer there was no more backchat😂😂 thanks Siri for the back up because all mums need some back up when you have a toddler!!!
