Was Australia the first place bread was ever baked? With grinding stones dating older than 30,000, found in Australia it is more than likely.
The Traditional Custodians have been using native grains for thousands of years, it would be great to see more of these in restaurants and households across Australia. 📷 @lvfvisuals

Kakadu Kitchen co-owner, Ben Tyler feeling at home in the Fervor pop-up kitchen as an especially invited guest of chef & owner, Paul 'Yoda' Iskov. The #fervortour2017 team presented their spectacular style of outdoor dining experience under the stars in Kakadu. As part of Parks Australia's 'Taste of Kakadu' special event celebrating Kakadu's Indigenous foods.
The Fervor menu included Kakadu Indigenous ingredients such as karrbarda (long yam), an-gulurrudj (sand palm), and an-dem (waterlily), which were foraged locally with Bininj People including Patsy Raglar, Jessie Alderson, and Aunty Doreen.
The mystery location, Kurri Bidangdoi (Blue Tongue Dreaming aka Koongara Saddle) has a rich culture and history, which Djok custodian, Jeffrey Lee shared in a welcome to the 40 special guests dining at this amazing unique event. It was a privilege to experience. Thanks @fervorfood @parksaustralia, Kakadu's Bininj/Mungguy Peoples and all involved who made 'Taste of Kakadu' such an incredible cultural festival experience! Knowing how hard everyone worked together in bringing the entire festival to fruition it was a really good feeling to see tears of frustration turn to tears of joy. Very proud. Well done to all! #tastekakadu #seekakadu #indigenousfoods #kakadunationalpark #tourismtopend
