Don’t forget to do some eye exercises while you’re working on your computer. Moving the direction of your eyes around throughout the day while you’re staring at a screen helps maintain the eye muscles and stops your eyes from getting lazy. 😩

I saw someone else post this yesterday and had to share....I didn’t know this and thought it was super interesting... Did you know our bodies can only absorb 4-6 oz of water at a time? 💧
Not 8 oz at a time. 💥
Pace yourself throughout the day.
What water we do not absorb will be released immediately to the kidneys and bladder.
Our cells require water to bring toxins into those cells and more water to help release toxins out of the cells through 5 different elimination channels...Skin, lungs, kidneys, bowels, and the lymphatic system.
Without hydration these elimination paths will not work properly and eventually negative side effects will be experienced.

Chose a yogurt as a base. Look for something high in protein and low in sugar. Anything plain is usually a prime option and Greek yogurt is known for its density in protein - not to mention it taste great!
Add some fruit! Fruit will add sugar and carbs to the serving so keep that in mind and don’t go crazy. Fruits are also a great source of energy and antioxidant making them perfect to add to any pre-workout snack or meal.
Add nuts! Nuts are high in fat, sure, but fats don’t make you fat! In fact, fats are essential to a healthy diet as they aide cognitive functioning, inflammation and energy levels.
Pair your yogurt with eggs and you’re set! I pair mine with eggs or egg whites for a meal or just enjoy it by itself as a snack - Enjoy!

It’s day 3 of my #whole30 journey and if I’m being 100% honest it’s been the toughest day yet. My sugar cravings are through the roof. Although these cravings have been hard to get through I’m not letting them beat me. I’ve found the key to kicking them through eating grapefruit😛⠀
Did you know that grapefruits are a great source of vitamin C, lycopene, potassium and fiber? Grapefruits are a great way to curb your sweet tooth and even your appetite. They are also low in carbohydrates too and can aid in digestion (due to the fiber 😉) Grapefruits have also been found to have positive effects in lowering high cholesterol and blood sugar 👊🏼 ⠀
Grapefruit has all sorts of benefits but doctors have noted that there have been some negative side effects when consuming grapefruit and certain medications. There can be negative interaction that stem from a specific enzyme known as CYP3A4, which can heighten the breakdown of drugs in the body and cause poisoning. So if you’re taking any sort of medication please talk to your doctor before adding grapefruit into your diet.

#HealthTip : One of the easiest ways to add more calcium to your diet naturally is to sprinkle sesame seeds on top of your meal! You have seen these little guys in sushi rolls, bread buns and stir-fries but you can sprinkle some on top of almost any meal to add a little crunch without altering the meal’s flavor! I keep a small jar on the table as a friendly reminder.
A lot of people still wrongly believe that in order to have strong bones they need to consume lots of dairy but did you know that ¼ cup of these little seeds have 351mg of calcium while1/4 cup of whole milk only has 73 mg. Coconut oil received some negative media attention in 2017. 🥥
While it is true that it is comprised mostly of Saturated Fatty Acids, the important thing to know is how the body deals with different sources of Saturated Fatty Acids. Yes, some studies have shown that it increases the bad cholesterol. But looking at that one value is one dimensional and doesn't give you the big picture. You have to look at what else its doing! ⬇️
Coconut oil is extremely effective at reducing triglycerides in the blood stream. This is loose, unbound fat running around your blood stream. The triglyceride value may actually be a more significant predictor of health than that "bad cholesterol". Coconut oil also increases good cholesterol. Coconut oil is also being looked at to supplement those on certain chemotherapy medications to reduce inflammation and prevent toxicity to vital organs‼️
There is no consensus on whether or not coconut oil itself can improve weight loss or increase your metabolism since most studies are done on Medium Chain Triglycerides and not coconut oil itself.
Moral of the story is, I think we should all give it a try. It certainly fairs better than butter, so we might as well add some coconutty goodness to our meals 👍🏻
