PHANTOM OF THE OPERA REVIEW 🌹🎼
I saw Phantom of the Opera on Saturday night. I was in row D of the center front Mezzanine (seat 107). This was one of the rare occasions when I purchased my ticket at the box office. The ticket was $135. In my opinion that’s a pretty good price; the show is really popular so I would consider it a good deal. Apart from the price, it was a really good seat — you shouldn’t have a problem seeing over people’s heads unless someone really tall sits in the seat in front of you (this happened to me but it was okay). Phantom is so iconic I’m pretty sure everyone knows the plot, so I won’t repeat it here. Overall, the show was absolutely wonderful. The music was phenomenal and the actors all gave awesome performances. The set was super impressive. There’s a reason why it’s so popular— I would definitely say it’s worth the hype! Unfortunately the weather that night was awful so I didn’t stay behind to see if anyone came out to stagedoor, but I was able to go across the street to the Theatre Circle (a Broadway merchandise store) and buy a souvenir Phantom program that isn’t for the 30 year anniversary (I wanted to have both) and I finally found the Les Mis revival program I was looking for. If you’re in NYC, see this show! Just be aware of the pricing (you may have to pick a less preferable seat, date, & time to save money) and the very large crowds.
