Spring Break 2018 for our crew is in full swing! Road trips, adventures with friends, new coffee places, running spots, and lots of yummy food! 😋 We skipped Florida with the Fam this week and decided to travel to a few places around us - Kansas City, Tulsa, and Branson. 🤗 As challenging as it is road tripping with a family of five at times, it's always worth it and FUN! The PERFECT 👌🏼 cap to this spring break and celebration of St. Patrick’s Day!! 66 mile ride to Four Peaks with @stevegoodman22 followed by 8 mile repeats around Tempe Town Lake at a 7:46 average! I was able to eat SO much during this Brick today too! 🙌🏼 3 weeks until Galveston! 💙

Today was all about practicing transitions.
My buddy and I rode 2 miles to the pool, and he sat with the bikes and took stalker-y pictures of me during my swim and T1 practice.
We then jumped on our bikes, and I rode home with him. He's a tad nervous about riding fast with me, so I finished another 5 miles alone.
Then at home I practiced T2, and my buddy came along for a 1.5 mile run. The whole time I kept repeating 'I can do hard things' to keep the negative thoughts of how I don't feel ready for race day. And my son was whistling The Bare Necessities the whole time 😆 🤦♀️ I know I'm ready. I know I can do this. 💪

An amazing thing happened last night at packet pickup for my race. I was given the number “458”. For those of you who know me, I have dedicated my entire race season to the 58 angels that we lost on October 1st. After that, I randomly met a fellow survivor at dinner and she gave me this amazing keychain. Then, this morning, I had my first podium finish!!! I placed 3rd in my age group! Finally, off to Jake’s last football game for the season and I got to see him score a touchdown! For me personal training is more than a workout, it’s an opportunity to fine tune technique, work on body imbalances to create a stronger more functional body, allowing you to participate in your favourite activities to your fullest potential. Too often in class, even in small group fitness, it is difficult to provide the instruction that is needed. In this case we’ve been correcting @johnlepp squat to address weakness in his adductors and glutes, resulting in repeat injuries. The goal is to stabilize his knees by improving adductor strength and ensuring glute activation. When he plays soccer and has to respond quickly to the play, his knees won’t be taking the brunt of the energy; thereby allowing him to play the game he loves without injury. Best of all, even with detailed, slow exercises he still burns over 450 calories every session. Tilbage på den side af Storebælt hvor jeg bare har det bedst! 15 år blev det til på Sjælland - de sidste 9,5 år har savnet til min familie på den anden side til tider været enormt ❤️💙 Nu er vi her og vi glæder os til en ny start med fælles bolig @torbenklogborg - tæt på familie og venner. Tæt på fantastisk natur og lækre svømmehaller. En ny arbejdsplads på OUH - tårerne er nu glædestårer 😍
